About
little, old me.

I am a Virginia girl through and through, having lived north, south, east, and west in the state I can only describe as "glorious". The Blue Ridge Mountains speak peace to my often weary soul, and I could never imagine living where I can't see the mountains from my backyard. I love writing in quiet, peaceful places surrounded by nature and the sounds of inspiring music. As I go through my day-to-day life, songs come to me like themes for the "chapter" I am living. That is why I used song titles for each chapter in Picking Up the Pieces. As I wrote, songs would pop into my head. It was quite magical!
Besides writing, I also adore the theater, as a patron and an actress, director, and producer. I have been involved in the dramatic arts since I was a small child and I am convinced that the only reason I have never made it to Hollywood is because I cannot sing worth a hoot and, while I love dancing, I'm abysmal at it. Just ask the judges from my last audition for a part in a musical.
On a more personal note, I have been married to the funniest man alive for the past 30+ years. We have one daughter together and two of the most amazing, little grandchildren. We also love dogs. Lots and lots of dogs. Lots of little, wet doggy noses and soft paws to kiss and squeeze.
And I love Jesus. I completely and unapologetically love Jesus. He rescued me one day as I was lying on a dirty bathroom floor in a seedy bar. He cleaned me up and set me on a new path. I wish I could say that I never looked back and never wavered, but I have from time to time. Yet, there He has been every time. Waiting for me patiently and lovingly, showing me the best way to live.
